ABOUT

Melissa has spent over 20 years as a both a print and digital designer in corporate, agency, and freelance environments. Throughout her career, she has been looked to for her expertise as a creative consultant, researching and designing for clients and end-users for many sectors; including financial services institutions, healthcare, community outreach organizations, B2B, enterprise software, and consumer products. She has a penchant for learning and continually educates herself through professional education programs, additional schooling, meet-ups and workshops, and online training opportunities for her ever-changing field.

 

As a UI/UX designer, Melissa finds excitement in meeting and collaborating with new clients - in having conversations with them - in investigating and uncovering the requirements for the products her clients, and their users, will find useful and intuitive. She enjoys designing things that will make a user’s life, or task they are focussed on, easier in some way. She likes strategizing ways to achieve maximum user engagement, and thrives on researching and getting a deep understanding of the client, their customers, and how the product she is designing can bring value to both.
